When you register for the GLOBAL PASS Member's Website, Visa Secure will be automatically activated. It's effective to prevent unauthorized use of your card by third parties when you shop online.

How to register
STEP
1
Visit GLOBAL PASS Member's Website and select “Create your User ID”. Agree to TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF GLOBAL PASS MEMBERSHIP and enter your account information.

<Approval process>
Input your registered phone number and choose SMS Verification or Phone Verification. Or input your e-mail address when you live abroad.
- SMS Verification/Overseas address: Enter the verification code.
- Phone Verification: Makes a call to the phone number displayed on the screen from the phone number registered.

<Registration process>
After verification, enter your card number and required information, and register your User ID and Password.

<Final registration>
After receiving a confirmation e-mail, click the URL in the e-mail and enter your User ID on the Member's Website.

Click “Go to sign on screen” on the Registration Completion screen and sign on to the Member's Website by entering the User ID and Password you set up in STEP3.
Visa Secure will be automatically activated.
About Visa Secure
"Visa Secure" is a secured service to confirm the identity of the card holder by verification code, when you use GLOBAL PASS on applicable online shopping sites. When additional verification is required, the verification screen appears in order to send a verification code to your e-mail address registered on GLOBAL PASS Member's Website.

- *The User ID and Password should be created separately from your online banking's User ID and Password.
The registration is required separately for Main card and Family card(s). Please note that when creating an User ID for family card, the main card holder's information registered with the bank is used for the SMS/Phone Verification.

PRESTIA Alert ServiceRegistration required

By registering for PRESTIA Alert Service you will receive e-mail alerts for every cash card usage, invalid PIN input at domestic ATMs, for shopping, online banking sign-on, and online fund transfer to a domestic unregistered payee. If you notice any transactions that you are not aware of, call us immediately and we will support you to avoid further damages.

Choose 'E-mail Registration / Maintenance > Register / Update (PRESTIA Alert Service / PRESTIA Insight)' from "Services" menu and register your information.

We will send you a confirmation message when your registration is complete.
- *If you have not still registered an e-mail address for PRESTIA Alert Service / PRESTIA Insight , you must do so before using the service.
- *If you are not receiving notification e-mails, you may have entered the wrong e-mail address, or a domain specification or anti-spam filter for incoming e-mail may be preventing the e-mails from arriving. Return to the online banking and confirm the information you entered. Also, make sure to add smbctb.co.jp to your safe domain list.
- *You cannot apply for the PRESTIA Alert Service by phone, at a branch, or by mail.

Important Notes
- *Notification e-mails will not be sent if you enter a wrong PIN when shopping or using an overseas ATM with GLOBAL PASS.
- *Notification e-mails will reach you in case of refund of overseas withdrawals, or cancelation of purchases in global (except J-Debit) by using GLOBAL PASS.
- *Notification e-mails may not be sent when shopping using GLOBAL PASS or canceling it depending on the payment method of the merchant.
- *PRESTIA sends the e-mail with an electronic signature (S/MIME)*.
The use of digital signatures is an effective measure against phishing e-mails, allowing recipients to confirm the sender's authenticity.- *S/MIME: Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions. By sending an e-mail in S/MIME format, you will be able to confirm the following.
1. The message was sent by SMBC Trust Bank.
2. The message will not be tempered during an email transmission over the Internet.

- *Depending on the status of their accounts, some customers may not be eligible for this service. Please inquire for more details via PRESTIA Phone Banking.

- *The PRESTIA Alert Service is free of charge, but customers must pay their own e-mail usage fees, including mobile phone packet communication fees.

Keeping the limits to minimum for withdrawals from domestic and overseas ATMs and Visa transactions (including online shopping) helps minimize the damage in the worst-case scenario. (We recommend you lower the limit down to 0 yen when your card is not in use.)

How to change the transaction limits
Transaction limits for shopping at Visa / iD*1 merchants and withdrawals from overseas ATMs
- *The definition for "per day" is 0:00-24:00 JST.
- *The amount transacted with the family card is included in the transaction limit of your main card.
- *When being deducted from PRESTIA MultiMoney Foreign Currency Savings Account, total cumulative use will be calculated based on the amount converted into Japanese yen at a rate obtained by adding the predefined commission fee (3%) to the exchange rate determined by Visa.
How to change your transaction limit
You can change your transaction limit on the GLOBAL PASS member's website.
Sign on to GLOBAL PASS Member's Website > Manage Services > Change Limit Control > Modify Limits.
- *For security reasons, selectable range is partially restricted.
- *If you switched Banking Card (and PRESTIA Gaika Cash Card) to GLOBAL PASS, Overseas ATM withdrawal transaction limit is RESET to the GLOBAL PASS default setting regardless of your previous setting(s).
- *1The iD touch payment can be used only when the "iD" logo is on the back of your card.
Transaction limits for withdrawals / transfers at domestic ATMs and shopping at J-Debit merchants
- *The above is the daily transaction limit.
- *The withdrawal limit for ATMs other than Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Seven Bank ATMs (including Japan Post Bank ATMs) is 2 million yen/day (fixed).
- *The transaction limit for J-Debit can be set between 1-500,000 yen/day. The default setting is 500,000 yen/day.
How to change your transaction limit
You can apply at a branch or via telephone.
- *If you wish to use biometric authentication, you will need to bring your cash card to a branch and register your finger vein authentication information.
- *Transactions at ATMs that do not support IC chips or biometric authentication will be magnetic stripe-based.

What to do if you have revealed your personal information
- Please contact us immediately in the following cases. As per your request, we promptly change PIN, suspend the card or reissue the card.

- Personal information such as account number, personal identification number (Domestic Cash Card PIN, Debit PIN, T-PIN) or 16-digit GLOBAL PASS card number is stolen.
- Had your card lost or stolen.
- Noticed an unfamiliar transaction by receiving a PRESTIA Alert Service E-mail or checking your account activities.
