Thank you very much for banking with SMBC Trust Bank PRESTIA.
Effective Wednesday April 1, 2026, we will revise the overseas check handling fees to counter ever-increasing money laundering and terrorist financing. On the same day, we will also partially terminate or change services provided at PRESTIA branches to respond to the development of cashless transactions and the increase in administration costs. See below for details.
1.Revision of fees
(1) Overseas checks
- Overseas check handling fees will remain free of charge for PRESTIA GOLD and PRESTIA GOLD PREMIUM customers and will not be affected by this revision.
- Regardless of the issue date of the check, the revised fees will apply if the date of acceptance is on or after April 1, 2026. In case of sending by postal mail, please send well in advance.
- *This service is not available to customers who do not have our bank account.
(2) Foreign currency cash handling fee
Effective April 1, 2026, the service charge waiver for foreign currency cash transactions at our branches will be discontinued when customers make deposits into foreign currency time deposits or purchasing investment products.

- *2Cash handling fee will be charged ¥2/US dollar or ¥3/Euro in the case of cash transaction exceeding $5,000 or €5,000 per day.
(3) Statement / Torihikizandaka-hokokusho (The revision will affect to customers whose Bank Statements / Torihikizandaka-hokokusho are not issued by mail)
A reissuance fee of 550 yen (including tax) will be charged per statement if customers who use e-statements request paper Bank Statements or Torihikizandaka-hokokusho.

2.Changes in service
(1) Yen cash exchange
Effective April 1, 2026, Yen cash exchange *1 service will be discontinued at our branches. Nevertheless, you can continue to specify denominations when making cash withdrawals from your account. *2
- *1To exchange Japanese currency for the same denomination (e.g., exchanging a 1,000 yen bill for a new 1,000 yen bill) as well as exchanging for different denominations (e.g., exchanging one 1,000 yen bill for ten 100 yen coins).

(2) Counting and depositing Yen coins
Effective April 1, 2026, we will change the procedure for counting and depositing Yen coins into accounts at our branches*1 by introducing a daily maximum limit*2 as outlined below. Please note that the coin deposit services for using ATMs installed at SMBC Trust Bank Branches / Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation ATMs will not be affected by this change. *3

- *2There is a daily limit. For example, you cannot make two separate deposits of 100 coins each on the same day at any branches.
