Please note
- When you return to your country or change to a residential address outside Japan, please close your account.
- In case the address on the identity verification document is different from your current address, you cannot apply.
- Account cannot be opened at the time of application. It takes a minimum of 10 business days from the receipt of your application to receive your Account number information and Multi-currency Visa debit integrated cash card (GLOBAL PASS or ANA Mileage Club GLOBAL PASS). Please see here for the details.
- Additional information may be requested before account opening.
- Regarding US persons (US citizens, US residents, or Green Card holders) will take longer than usual to open an account.
Please see here for the details. - Multi-currency Visa debit integrated cash card (GLOBAL PASS or ANA Mileage Club GLOBAL PASS) will be delivered by registered mail to the address stated on the identity verification document (it will not be forwarded to the new address). Please note that if you do not receive it, we may treat it as if you did not apply to open an account. If you plan to move, please open an account after moving.
- Once you have an account, a seal/signature registration may be required for transactions or services listed below. You will be further instructed by e-mail sent upon the completion of your account opening on how to download and submit the SEAL/SIGNATURE CARD.
Transactions and Services that requires a seal/signature verification:
Fund transfers exceeding 5 million yen or the equivalent in foreign currency (domestic and overseas), applications for affiliated credit cards, or any other transactions and services that the bank necessitatesIf you do not plan to register your seal/signature, please refer to the links below on how you may make transactions or use our services via postal mails.
- Note: When we cannot reach you over the phone or your T-PIN verification does not go through, seal/signature may become necessary. Therefore, we still recommend that you register your seal/signature even if you do not plan to make any transactions or use services requiring seal/signatures verification at the moment.
