Regarding the termination of the period for automatic switching of the old bank name and bank code (to the current bank name and bank code) for domestic fund transfers (such as salary payments) (Re-posting)

February, 2016

Dear valued customer,

SMBC Trust Bank has completed the acquisition and integration of Citibank Japan's retail banking business on November 1, 2015, and made a fresh start as SMBC Trust Bank "PRESTIA".

As previously communicated, with the above mentioned acquisition and integration, we changed our bank name and bank code as detailed below. Since November 1, 2015, customers' salary payments, pension payments*, and other fund transfers from other banks made under the old bank name had been automatically deposited under the current bank name.
However, the period for automatic switching of the old bank name and bank code came to an end on January 29 (Fri), 2016. Please be aware that, on or after January 30 (Sat), 2016, payments will not be made to your bank account unless the old bank name and bank code are changed to the current bank name and bank code.
Please make sure to ask senders to change their fund transfer instructions to the current bank name and bank code as soon as possible, if you have not already done so. We very much appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Current bank name SMBC Trust Bank
Current bank code 0300

Note : There is no change in branch name, branch code, or account number

  • *Japan Pension Service and other pension services already use the current bank name and bank code. For such pension services, please confirm at our website, branches or call center.
