1. Basic stance of solicitation activities

  1. 1) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will make efforts to ensure the confidence of customers and solicit products or transactions believed to be suitable for each customer based on the customer's investment knowledge, experience, the status of property and the purpose of concluding a contract for financial instruments transaction, etc.
  2. 2) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will make efforts to explain details and risks about products or transactions adequately in light of each customer’s investment knowledge, experience, the status of property and the purpose of concluding a contract for financial instruments transaction, etc. so that the customer can make a deal on the customer’s own decision and responsibility.

2. Method and time zone for solicitation activities

  1. 1) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will conduct solicitation activities appropriately in accordance with Banking Act and other laws and regulations.
  2. 2) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will make efforts to conduct solicitation activities along with customers’ requirements.
  3. 3) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will make efforts to conduct solicitation activities during time zone and at place as accommodation to customers.

3. Other matters for solicitation activities

  1. 1) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will make efforts to improve the level of knowledge and skill of officers and employees including appropriate product knowledge in order to fulfill customers’ expectations.
  2. 2) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will make efforts to enhance internal rules etc. to ensure appropriate solicitation activities compliance with Banking Act and other laws and regulations.
  3. 3) SMBC Trust Bank Ltd. will sincerely respond to complaints and requests from customers and strive to improve our solicitation activities.
