In conjunction with SMBC Trust Bank's November 1, 2015 acquisition of Citibank Japan Ltd.'s retail banking business, the procedure for making overseas fund transfers to the bank changed, including the necessity of specifying SMBC Trust Bank as the receiving bank. As a temporary measure associated with the acquisition, even transfers made using the previous method have been automatically switched so that funds are deposited in customers' accounts. However, since more than one year has passed after the acquisition, this automatic switching will be terminated on April 28, 2017. As notified already on our Website, customers who receive overseas fund transfers and have not yet informed the senders about this change are asked to contact them about the transfer procedure below as soon as possible. Once the automatic switching period is over, funds will not reach your account if "SMBC Trust Bank Ltd." is not specified as the receiving bank as shown below.
